If something is wrong with an order, for example a damaged product or the wrong size, you refund it from the order itself. Only the owner of the business can do that, because it’s the business’s money.
Paid online. Choose Refund. The full amount is filled in by default; you can also refund part of it. With the full amount, you can tick that the items go back into stock.
Where the money comes from. The full amount comes off your business’s balance at Stripe. Any platform fee isn’t returned to you. Because your money stays there for fourteen days before Stripe pays it out, there’s almost always enough balance for a refund in that period. If your balance does go negative, Stripe takes the shortfall from your bank account.
The credit note. It follows automatically. Your member gets the money back the same way they paid; with the bank that usually takes a few working days.
Paid at the front desk. Then you give the money back at the front desk. The button is only there for online payments.
We see it too. Every refund appears in our overview for your business. You don’t need to do anything for that; it helps if a member calls us.
