Offering a subscription

Sending a subscription as a quote to one or more clients: what the client sees, when it expires, and withdrawing it.

You can offer one of your subscriptions to a client, as a quote. The client sees what it costs and what’s included, and pays themselves or says no.

Where. On the client page under Record → Business, with Offer subscription. To do it for several new clients at once, use Invite several.

What you choose.

  • The subscription. One of your subscriptions with a price. A subscription that isn’t publicly for sale also works, for example a custom price for this one client.
  • A personal note, if you like.
  • How long it’s valid: 7, 14 or 30 days.

What the client gets. An email and a notification in the app. Behind the button is a page with the subscription, what’s included, the terms and two buttons: Accept and pay and No, thanks. Payment goes through the secure payment page, with iDEAL, card or SEPA direct debit. In the app, the offer is at the top under Your subscription.

Is the client already paying through the app? Then it’s a switch, not a second subscription. The client sees in the app what the switch costs and confirms it there.

What you see. Under Offers on the client page, each offer is shown with its status: Sent, Paying, Paid, Declined, Withdrawn or Expired. Once the client pays, the subscription appears with their subscriptions automatically.

Withdrawing. You withdraw an offer that’s still open with Withdraw. The link no longer works after that.

Sending again. If you offer the same subscription to the same client again, they get the existing offer again, with your new note and validity.

Who can do it. Anyone in your business with the Members & subscriptions permission.
