Taking and comparing progress photos

Recording photos, putting them side by side, and who can see them.

The scale doesn’t tell the whole story. Under Progress you can keep photos and later put them side by side.

Taking them. Choose Photos and take one. It helps to stick to fixed conditions: the same time, the same place, the same light and the same pose. Differences in lighting matter more than people think.

Comparing. You can put two photos from different dates side by side. Over eight weeks you’ll see things there that you miss in the mirror, precisely because you see yourself every day.

Who can see them. Only you, and your coach if you have one. They never appear on a leaderboard, they’re not shared anywhere and they’re invisible to other members.

How often. Every two to four weeks is enough. Taking photos every day mainly shows noise: fluid, food and posture vary more from day to day than your progress does in a week.
