Voice, counting along and counting down

When the app speaks out loud, which voice you hear, and how it counts along and counts down during an exercise.

Under Profile → Voice you set when and how the app speaks.

When.

  • On a level-up: you hear which level you reached, wherever you are in the app.
  • Counting along during an exercise: counting out loud during your set, and one sentence while you rest.
  • A tick on every rep: even with the voice off.
  • Counting down before a set: with voice and tick, just a tick, or just the number on the screen.
  • Progress updates during exercise: every so many minutes, your distance and time during a run or bike ride. How often and what’s included is set under Cardio → Audio cues.

How it counts. Up and counting down the last three (six, seven, three more, two more, last one), always up, or always down.

Which tone. Calm (nice work) or more exclamatory (yes, strong).

Which voice. A voice marked as female or male, a voice with no marked gender, or whatever the app thinks is best. Not every device has all voices; the app then chooses the best one available.

Trying it out. With Hear a progress update and Hear a level-up you immediately hear how it sounds.
