Segments: a stretch of route with a leaderboard

What a segment is, when your run counts, and whose times you see.

1 min readUpdated on 5 October 2026AthleteMember or client

A segment is a fixed stretch of route, such as a hill or a loop around the park, with a leaderboard of times.

When your run counts. If you come within 25 metres of the start and the end, follow ninety per cent of the line, and go in the same direction. If you run it the other way round, it doesn’t count.

Your time. Shown with the segment, next to your earlier attempts.

Other people’s times. Only from shared runs, or from people who want to be on the leaderboard. Anyone who runs privately isn’t included.

No times yet? Run the segment in the same direction, and you’re on it.
