Why your meal plan is a rotation and not a weekly menu

Three days that alternate work better than seven different ones. And you can always swap.

Two people in a bright kitchen choosing between three simple rotating meals from a nutrition plan.

If you get a meal plan from your coach, it’s often shorter than you expect: three days, sometimes two, that repeat. That’s not laziness. It’s a deliberate choice.

Less variety, more to hold on to. Seven different days means seven different lots of shopping, cooking something new seven times, and doubting yourself seven times. Three days that rotate, you know by heart within a week. That makes it sustainable, and sticking with it is what works.

The app knows which day it is. From the start date it works out which day of the rotation is due today. You don’t need to keep track of anything.

Swapping is allowed. Don’t fancy the porridge today? Swap it for something else. The app doesn’t look at that one dish but at your whole day: does your daily total still fit within your coach’s goals after the swap? If you’re behind on protein today, a higher-protein dish is actually welcome.

A different portion counts too. If the dish is fine but there’s too much of it, choose the same meal in a smaller portion. That swap almost always fits.

Your coach sees it. A swap is recorded. Not to check up on you, but because a plan that quietly turns into something else can no longer be adjusted. If you keep swapping the same dish, it doesn’t suit you, and that’s useful to know.

Your shopping list swaps along. The list follows your plan, including what you swapped, and turns recipes into separate ingredients. That way you buy what you’re actually going to eat.
