Cancelling shouldn’t be hard
You can stop a subscription in the app, without a letter or a phone call. And your training history stays yours.

At many gyms, cancelling is a chore: a form, a letter, a phone call during office hours. The idea is that a hurdle keeps people in. We think a hurdle mostly makes people angry.
You can cancel in the app. There’s a button under your subscription. After that, your subscription doesn’t renew. If your gym has a notice period or other terms, they’re shown with your subscription, so you know where you stand.
You keep what you paid for. You have access until the end of the period you paid for. Cancelling halfway through the month doesn’t cost you the second half.
Your data doesn’t go anywhere. Cancelling is different from deleting your account. Your workouts, measurements and photos stay yours. If you start somewhere else later, or come back, it’s all still there.
Changed your mind? Just choose a subscription again.
Changing your payment details is done on the same screen, without calling the front desk.
Why a gym benefits from this. A member who can stop easily also comes back more easily. And a member who stays because stopping is too much hassle isn’t a member but a direct debit. You notice that in the atmosphere on the gym floor, and in what people say about it.
