Your business’s names as a guide. With every recording, the speech recognition is given the names of your clients and members, up to a thousand. That’s why it also understands “Kammeijer” and “van Utteren”.
Then it searches by sound. It looks up what it heard among the clients and members you’re allowed to see, ignoring spelling, accents or a missing prefix. “Annemiek Kammeier” finds Annemieke Kammeijer.
When in doubt, it asks. If two people are an equally close match, you get a choice with both names to tap. It never picks someone itself from a name it isn’t sure about.
Tips.
- Hold down the button before you start talking, and only let go when you’re done.
- One instruction at a time works best. Follow-up questions are fine: it remembers who you were talking about.
- An email address or an amount is better typed. No speech recognition gets those right every time.
- In a busy room: speak closer to the microphone, or type.
I didn’t hear anything. That message appears if the recording was silent or very short. Hold the button down for longer.
